Shoes, shoes, shoes, and they are very important especially after 50 and walking all over Europe.  Do you want to look stylish and still be comfortable?  this is truly a dilemma for the wanna be fashionista over 50.  I still want to look stylish but I also want to be able to walk miles in comfort.  So what is a gal to do?  What shoes do you wear in Europe for a over 50 Travel Fashionista.

Classic Black Skirt and Jean Jacket

In winter I have no problem with deciding it’s easy and I have a go to boot.   My boots are completely comfortable and I actually did 10 miles or more in Paris and London with them.  No issues no blisters not tired and no back aches .  TOETOS Women’s Knee High Winter Riding Boots (Wide Calf Available)

It’s sometimes in summer or late spring I have a little more trouble.  These for me tend to be a little harder to find not only style but a comfortable non granny looking PLEASE shoe.  I really love these BareTraps Women’s Tiffany Sandal and miles done in these are not an issue.

I have chosen a couple of different styles for just this.   So for those early spring days where it is still cool and you can get away with a nice Lucky Brand Women’s Basel Boot.   I love this choice and the style.  Looks like a boot with your jeans classy and stylish and if you choose correctly, completely comfortable.   You can mix and match with different outfits too.   I tend to do the short boot with no significant heel.  Especially if I am going to be walking a lot.

For a little lighter and sunny days I picked up these great leopard print slip on’s that are completely comfortable and I have already tried them out walking and are working great.

I add in this great shoe for a little casual style but still walking and my basic walking shoes for Europe are complete.

With these choices I have made I feel I can pretty much add them to any wardrobe and look stylish and remain comfortable.

Of course add a pair of wedges or heels for the days I am not walking or for evening wear on our river cruise for dinner.   These choices are perfect if you want to mix and match your styles and footwear.  These are the ones I picked up for a ocean cruise and they are comfortable and I think so cute.   DREAM PAIRS Women’s Wedge Sandals Pearls Across The Top Platform High Heels    Cute Wedgeswedge

I use tennis shoes but I really don’t take them on a trip to Europe unless I am planning on working out.  Which is usually not the case.  I stay pretty active throughout the trip getting to and from the various cities, catching planes, trains, and automobiles along the way.   6-10 miles a day is a pretty normal day for me.  So I need my shoes to definitely stand up to my style selection but also my comfort level.  I really like these cute adidas Women’s  Sneakers which are really comfortable.

Of course my wardrobe always needs a classic Jean Jacket that goes with just about everything.   Cute Demin Jacket
